This morning when Ps Garth was conducting Staff
Prayer he had the group break into pairs of two for us to read the
Proverb of the Day together and share what stood out for us. The Proverb
of the day (Proverbs 2) states in the first few verses that we should incline
thou ear unto wisdom and apply thine heart to understanding. This
was something that stood out for me because first of all one should incline
thine ear to Wisdom (the Holy Spirit) and listen with the intent to do. For
then one focuses more on what the Holy Spirit reveals. Additionally, then we
apply our heart to understanding, meaning the understanding I receive from the
Holy Spirit by inclining my ear, I am also doing.
The Word of God says, “Faith without works is dead”
(James 2:26). Now that I apply the understanding I am getting from the
Holy Spirit my faith (in the His guiding and leading) is not dead, because I am
acting on my faith. My faith is now made substance and the evidence of what I
do not yet see (concerning the understanding I received from the Holy Spirit)
is manifested. We know that faith is an act because acting on what you have not yet received displays that you believe the Words were spoken.
Another thing that stood out to me was in verses 21
and 22 (in the TPT) which states, “Follow those who follow wisdom and stay on
the right path. All my godly lovers will enjoy life to the fullest and will
inherit their destinies.” For me, this goes very nicely with being planted.
Therefore, in my situation, I am following Ps John who follows Wisdom (the Holy
Spirit) and the upright path. Therefore, as one of God’s lovers I am enjoying
life to the fullest and I will and inheriting my destiny. Praise the Lord. It
all makes perfect sense, for my planted place is my wealthy and laughing place. From the Apostle’s message from Jesus, I get the direction for my future
leading me to my destiny. Glory to God.
